[Lil Waters] My name is Lil. I am a Project Firefighter and I am stationed at Castlemaine.

Today we are getting a bit more hands-on with some of the tools we'll be using when we're out either fighting fires or doing planned burns.

We are getting the drip torches out so it's very exciting to be able to sort of get the fire out, see how it reacts, see the tools that we'll be using to deal with these fires.

I'm really grateful to have this Project Firefighter role because when we have bushfire incidents, it means I'll be able to be out there on the front line, protecting our community and protecting our environment.
