What is Reach Out?

Reach Out is an initiative that provides Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) staff with phone-based support from trained Peer Supporters. FFMVic staff can either be referred to Reach Out following a 'significant incident' or they can self-refer for personal or work-related concerns.

Reach Out is a wellbeing check-in to listen and link you with relevant support if needed. Support through Reach Out is short-term, confidential and you can opt-out at any time.

The Reach Out program is a way of showing that we as an organisation care for your wellbeing and providing a way of connecting you with support where needed. It is also a way of collecting your feedback on what issues are impacting you. The themes that emerge can then be addressed in how we work.

Complete the referral form

You can contact Reach Out directly on behalf of yourself or for someone else. Someone from Reach Out will be in contact as soon as possible. You can make a confidential referral by contacting Reach Out on 1800 950 411 or by completing an online referral form .

Reach Out is available during business hours Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm excluding public holidays. If you require immediate support or are concerned for the wellbeing of yourself or others, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or emergency on 000.

All Reach Out conversations and information collected is confidential. If there are concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of you or someone else, under a duty of care we are obligated to escalate our conversation to ensure your safety.

Reach Out recognises that your privacy is important, and information collected, such as name, contact number and work location will be kept confidential and is for the purpose of providing support. All information collected is strictly protected.
